Italian taps manufacturer DueGi (pictured) and Italian appliances maker Fulgor Milano have both recently signed deals with UK distribution companies to sell their products in the UK for the first time.
DueGi, which has been manufacturing brassware for kitchens and bathrooms since 1991 in Italy’s Piedmont region, has signed a deal with Qualitex and said it plans to sign others to “obtain full cover nationwide”.
DueGi told kbbreview that in order to work with the “right showroom” it has committed not to sell through online retailers.
Meanwhile, Fulgor Milano, which produces a broad range of premium cooking appliances, built-in wine coolers and refrigerators, said it has partnered with Euroline to launch in the UK, which it called a “key market” for the business.
“The UK represents a key market for us and we’re delighted to be partnering with Euroline,” said Fulgor Milano’s international sales director Antonio Brotto.
“This year is a significant one for the company – not only are we launching into the UK, but we’re marking our 70th anniversary, too.”
Euroline managing director Nigel Jacobs said: “We’re extremely excited to be bringing Fulgor Milano’s products to market in the UK.
“The company’s portfolio is of the highest quality, and so far the response from customers has been enormously positive.“
Fulgor Milano products have already been installed in Euroline’s 1,500sq ft showroom in Colchester in Essex. Customers are able to visit the showroom by appointment.
Luciana Kola, DueGi marketing manager, said the company was “pleased to be showcasing” its brassware in the UK for the first time.
She said: “Our distributors and customers can expect new products to be designed in response to ongoing consumer demands and ever-developing technologies, ensuring DueGi is front-of-mind for the UK market.
She told kbbreview that the business was “confident” it would get traction around the UK despite a competitive market through its “beautiful, luxurious and modern” designs entirely manufactured in Italy.
“The research and cutting-edge technology used by DueGi to adapt to customer needs and requirements is also something that gives us the edge over our competitors,” Kola said.
“Ensuring that our range is available for immediate delivery through our distributors is also a benefit of DueGi.”
