kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2023 winners revealed

kbbreview Retail & DesignAwards 2023

The winners of the prestigious kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2023 have been revealed at this year’s glamorous black-tie ceremony in Cardiff.

Hundreds of retailers, industry leaders and influencers gathered at DEPOT in the Welsh capital on April 20 to see host Joel Dommett hand out the coveted trophies to winners from across the KBB industry, celebrating excellence in retail and design.

The gala event, now in its 29th year, kicked off with a ‘Welcome to Cardiff’ drinks reception courtesy of LightTower by Hettich and after the ceremony, celebrations continued at the now legendary Quooker Club – the after-party venue sponsored by Quooker – which featured an Ultimate 90s disco set by special guest DJ Craig Charles.

Category sponsors were Franke, Impey, Masterclass, Sycamore, Samsung, Ideal Standard, kbb Birmingham, SENSTEC, Blum, Hansgrohe, CDA, Flair, InSinkErator, VitrA, Neff and Roca.

A special mention goes to our social media partner, Meir, and to our sustainability partners – Used Kitchen Exchange, Bathroom Brands and InSinkErator – who helped us offset the carbon footprint of the event.

And just before the awards were presented, one lucky guest won £5,000 donated by our Grand Prize partner Schlüter Systems after the audience took part in a specially devised game.

Commenting on this year’s spectacular event, kbbreview managing editor Andrew Davies said: “What an absolutely brilliant night, and a superb set of winners and finalists.

“This was a record year for entries and it’s great to see some new names taking home some of the biggest prizes. I’ve been doing this for years, but the quality of design and retailing in this sector never fails to impress.

“Congratulations to all of our worthy winners and a massive thank-you to everyone who entered. A huge thanks to all of our sponsors too – without you we wouldn’t be able to put on such an amazing event.”

A double winner this year was Simon Taylor Furniture, who won a bathroom design award as well as Installation Company of the Year.

There were also two winners from Wales in the design categories – Katie Lusty from Elementi Cucina in Cardiff and Zoe Curtis from The Tap End in Pontyclun.
