During the KBSAs’ 2022 AGM, two new directors were voted in and a new corporate chair was announced.

Keith Myers, owner of The Myers Touch in Winchester, was voted in as the regional chair for South and South East while Heath Everett, from H Everett Interiors, Cornwall was voted as regional chair for Wales and the South West.

Owain Harrison, MD of Novy, has taken on the role of corporate chair. That role was held by Malcolm Scott for several years but now has moved on to be retail and corporate membership director for the KBSA.

Harrison said: “I am delighted to be involved in the association, my overall ambitions are to continue the work of Malcolm working with the membership and the management team to collate our corporate membership into higher levels of involvement with the association and its members. I am very proud to be continuing the work of my predecessors and look forward to continuing the success of the Kbsa.”

Myers and Everett join the rest of the board with other top retailers including: Richard Hibbert, The Kitchen Showroom, chair and regional chair for South and Home Counties; Keith Wilson, Perth Kitchen Centre, regional chair for Scotland; Mark Butler, Butler Interiors, regional chair North Midlands and North West; Angela Bower, Bower Willis Designs, regional chair West Midlands and Central; Arron Bird, Anglia Interiors, regional chair East Midlands and Central; and Caroline Cooper, Roman Bathroom and Tile Centre, bathroom retail category chair.

Everett said: “I am delighted to join the Kbsa board. I am looking forward to contributing and giving something back to the industry that has given me so much over the last 25 years.

“It is important that KBB retailers have a voice both nationally and regionally here in the South West. The Kbsa brings the industry together and has a vital role to play in supporting and representing our interest and I am honoured to have the opportunity to contribute.”

The AGM was held virtually on Wednesday December 7, 2022. Attendees were given an update by Richard Hibbert, KBSA national chair, who gave a review of the year, the outlook for 2022/23 and the five-year strategy for the association.
