KBSA to host workshops at upcoming conference

The KBSA has revealed details of three retailer-focused workshops that will take place during its annual conference next month.

The workshops, which will take place on Wednesday 25 September at the Stratford Manor Hotel in Stratford Upon Avon, will cover topics including social media, the customer journey and the future marketplace.

Richard Hammond from Uncrowd will look at The Future Market Place. Hammond has been a retailer for 34 years and is known for his retail futurology, practical approach to modern stores, and a champion of great customer experiences that drive engagement and sales. He will review how retail is going to change in the long term and what effect this will have for our specialist sector.

Rene Power from Vision B2B Marketing and Training will provide an interactive insight into the world of direct communication using different social media platforms.

Andrea Hillier, national retail services manager at Blum, will do a presentation into the customer journey. She will consider the most important factors within the purchasing process, including where are potential customers looking for inspiration and the relevance of augmented reality for showrooms.

“The workshops will provide opportunities to discuss the key issues that impact on the success and profitability of a specialist retail business,” said KBSA chair Richard Hibbert. “The sessions will be interactive and informative. All of our workshop hosts will provide practical tools for delegates to take back to their business.”
