Buying group MHK has announced it will be partnering with Bauformat to launch its #kitchenfamily retail programme in the UK, following its success in the rest of Europe.
According to the company, the concept focuses on helping retailers enter the market with its offering of high-profile kitchen and bathroom furniture, giving retailers the chance to transform their showrooms into #kitchenfamily showrooms.
MHK says participating retailers will benefit from a strong brand identity, premium products and excellent infrastructure. MHK also says the concept is perfect for KBB designers and installers who want to open their own showrooms, or entrepreneurs looking to enter into the industry from outside.
The #kitchenfamily programme includes Bauformat as its exclusive German furniture supplier, but also includes premium appliance brands such as AEG, Miele Asko and more.
MHK has also committed to helping #kitchenfamily retailers by offering marketing support, which includes photo and video materials, website and digital brand marketing and social media templates. Additionally, The #kitchenfamily showroom design team are also available to work with enterprising retailers to help bring their ideal showrooms to life.
Speaking to kbbreview at the scheme’s launch in Berlin, Bauformat UK export manager Dirk Kleykens explained: “We offer the support to the retailer from the supplier, and we also then become the support for marketing, so we help with everything our retail partners need to take this concept out to the market.
“I call it ‘franchise-lite’, because we know that people still want to stay independent. So when they are part of the #kitchenfamily, they can still use things like their own name. If you want to have the right concept, with the help of support and marketing, along with a good product, and still want to stay independent, you need #kitchenfamily.”
Last week, at its annual general meeting in Berlin, the MHK Group also vowed to open up even more sales and growth prospects for its more than 4,300 members across Europe.
