Rotpunkt announces multimillion-euro boost for production and training

German kitchen manufacturer Rotpunkt is rolling out an ambitious multimillion-euro expansion plan for 2021.

The three-year plan will see a significant boost to manufacturing and training capabilities at its headquarters in Bünde, East Saxony. The company will increase the size of the factory and add a new showroom and training centre.

Said Matt Phillips, head of UK operations at Rotpunkt: “We are keen to keep moving forward to celebrate our centenary in business in 2030, with a multimillion-euro investment in our site at Bünde. This will increase the size of the factory and create a new showroom and training centre, so that we can display the full variety of our extensive product range.

“We are also enhancing C-parts production at our plant in Getmold. We want to ensure that our workforce have state-of-the-art equipment that is above and beyond the recommended safety requirements.”

Phillips said that “our people are our greatest asset” and explained that Rotpunkt had already invested in wearable tech and equipped its despatch teams with exoskeletons to support them during the most physically demanding tasks.

“At Rotpunkt,” added Phillips, “we are committed to growing our automated and manual capabilities in tandem, so we can best serve our markets. The majority of our production is exported from our headquarters in Germany, with international sales representing around 80% of our revenue. The British market is a strong sources of growth alongside France, Scandinavia, Belgium and Germany.”

He added that the driving force behind its operations was the “Rotpunkt family”. Phillips said: “We strive to make every client feel part of the Rotpunkt family with our excellent customer service. That is the secret to our continued success. We pride ourselves on our attitude, our ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with the people we are working with, and our understanding of their needs and requirements.”

He added that in 2021 Rotpunkt will be offering a new collection of furniture and storage solutions aimed at optimising space in the kitchen.

Phillips said: “Alongside our statement designs for the kitchens of tomorrow, we will continue to treat sustainability as a matter of high importance and convey this message to our target audience, so that they can see how carbon-free manufacturing process works and that we are doing our utmost, wherever possible, to protect the environment.”
