Kitchen components supplier Salice has taken full ownership of Italian sliding mechanisms manufacturer Bortoluzzi Sistemi.
Salice acquired the first company shares in 2010 and since then has developed a “strong strategic partnership” with Bortoluzzi.
The completion of the acquisition enables Salice to strengthen its ‘leading’ role in the field of opening systems – from furniture hinges to sliding systems.
Walter Gosling, branch director of Salice UK, said: “Bortoluzzi solutions are a perfect fit for Salice and we have enjoyed considerable success with them since the beginning of the partnership. We are delighted that the full acquisition of the company will bring significant additional strategic benefits for the further development of our expertise and product range of opening systems for furniture.”
Huntingdon-based Salice UK is the British sales subsidiary of the Salice SPA in Novedrate, Italy.
