Appliance manufacturer Smeg UK has appointed Matt Balm as southern sales manager.
Balm will aim to develop new and existing business, and will oversee the Southern regional sales operation within the retail channel. He will also be responsible for Smeg UK’s ongoing relationship with the CIH/Euronics buying group.
Joining from Britannia Range Cooking, Balm previously worked for De Dietrich and Liebherr, where he held a number of area manager positions.
Paul Barker, retail channel director, said: “Matt brings with him a wealth of industry and independent channel experience, which will be a real asset to the team.
“We have exciting growth plans in place with a number of exciting new products coming to the market and Matt will play a key part in driving their sales.”
