Smeg upgrades training facility at Abingdon HQ

Luxury Italian appliance brand Smeg has upgraded its training facility in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, in a move it says will allow for “a completely fluid and comprehensive training experience”.

Located across the entire ground floor of its purpose-built UK head office, it provides Smeg’s trade customers with the chance to get hands-on with more than 300 live and operational appliances. The space will also be used for training on specialist new products, such as its SmegConnect smart appliances.

‘Inspire’ is Smeg’s bespoke one- or two-day training course designed for independent retailers, equipping sales staff with varying levels of knowledge and everything they need to confidently and effectively sell and up-sell Smeg.

With its ‘living kitchen’ training school, its large showroom with products grouped by family, its 60-person conference space and its field-based training, Smeg hopes to continue to support its customers and develop the knowledge and training delivered in-store.
