Suppliers continue to reopen as market anticipated to return

Major manufacturers, distributors and suppliers continue to reopen for business as they plan for a returning market.

And again, all are stressing that they are strictly adhering to all government guidelines on social distancing.

Companies announcing a resumption of business include:

Utopia Bathrooms: Resumes manufacturing and deliveries at its Wolverhampton headquarters from today (Tuesday, May 12).

Joint MD Dave Conn said “Although we had to halt production and deliveries temporarily, we continued to support our customers in every way we could and have also continued to work very hard behind the scenes to ensure that we can not only deliver our planned new product launch but also introduce practical safeguarding measures for our staff, customers and extended partners.

“This has been an unprecedented time for everyone but we are determined to bounce back and give our business partners all possible assistance to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead.”

Roper Rhodes: From yesterday, customer deliveries resume via own transport fleet with Portbury depot opening from Monday and the remaining bases throughout the week.

Managing director Paul Roper (pictured) said: ‘The crisis is something none of us have experienced in our lifetimes and it has hit our industry hard but we are thrilled to be able to support our customers again during these challenging times and are optimistic to how the business will bounce back.”

Frontline: From yesterday, resuming two to three day delivery service

In a letter to customers, the company said: “Thank you for all the support you’ve given us since we announced the temporary suspension of trading over a month ago.

“The safety of our staff remains our main priority, therefore we will be operating with restrictions in place and controls to ensure we always follow the government guidance on social distancing.”
