Uform chairman in running for entrepreneur award

Eamon Donnelly, co-founder and chairman of kitchen door and component supplier Uform, has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Ireland.

The main award is split into three categories, ‘emerging’, ‘industry’ and ‘international’ with Donnelly reaching the final in the ‘industry’ group. He will now compete against 23 other entrepreneurs.

Donnelly (pictured) has also completed a weeklong CEO retreat in Boston as part of a programme of strategic activities over the next six months.

He said: “I am thoroughly delighted to be named as a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards. To be named alongside some of Ireland’s most successful business people is an absolute privilege. I have been working in the kitchen industry now for 33 years and I have, along with my brother Paul and my late father Eddie, established a market-leading company, which, now in its 23rd year of business has doubled its revenue over the past three years. To reach this stage is not only testament to my ambition and determination for success, but it’s also a wonderful achievement for the company as a whole.

“I am hugely proud of our workforce and the importance of our people is engrained in the culture of our company. The next stage will be a very exciting chapter, as we have further growth plans for the next five years to double our revenue again so the future of Uform is certainly bright.”

An overall winner will be announced at the annual gala dinner in Dublin in October.
