Who won at the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2020?

The winners of the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2020 were revealed earlier tonight at an awards ceremony held at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole hotel.

The event was completely sold out with more than 900 designers, retailers, suppliers and industry professionals in attendance.

Several new categories were added to the awards this year, including New Kitchen Retailer of the Year, New Bathroom Retailer of the Year, Community Champion, Kitchen Rep of the Year and Bathroom Rep of the Year.

We had one double winner this year, which was Laings of Inverurie, Scotland, which won both the Bathroom Retailer of the Year and Bathroom Showroom of the Year categories.

This year’s Special Achievement Award went to Adam Thomas, who is a pioneer in multigenerational kitchen design.

The quality of designs submitted in the six design categories reached new heights of excellence for  2020. Each of the shortlisted designers presented their designs to a judging panel in January to determine the winner.

The event kicked off with the drinks reception, sponsored by Hettich. During the night the social media was sponsored by Virtual Worlds.

As sustainability and the environment is still on everyone’s minds, this – and the awards back in 2019 – was a carbon-neutral event. That would not have been possible without our sustainability partners – Bauformat, Trojan and The Used Kitchen Exchange.

Taylist Media’s managing editor Andrew Davies said: “This was a brilliant year and it is so inspiring to see the whole industry come together to celebrate the very best in the KBB industry. And I’d like to say a big thank you to all our sponsors for their generosity and support.”
