Leading KBB-Industry software provider Compusoft explains why the decision to house its Compusoft GB and EQ Software operations in one central location is great news for its customers.

As a leading provider of software solutions, designed to help customers improve the efficiency of their businesses, Compusoft understands how important first-class service is.

So, it’s probably unsurprising that the company behind CAD programs Winner Design and Inno+ and business management software, EQ, is committed to constantly improving its service offering to customers.

It recently cemented this commitment to offering a continuously stronger service with the investment of £3 million in a purpose-built headquarters designed to bring both its Compusoft GB, previously based in Loughborough, and EQ Software, previously situated in Tamworth, operations together in one central location in Ashby-de-la-Zouch in Leicestershire.

To meet our customers’ changing needs, we had to build an even stronger team and make it even easier to deal with us

“Our customers are at the heart of everything we do,” explains Compusoft GB managing director Alexander Ainge. “As a high-level KBB service provider, we recognised that to continue to meet our customers’ changing needs, we had to build an even stronger team and make it even easier to deal with us.

“And, bringing both operations under one roof was the obvious way to make that happen. Ashby-de-la-Zouch was the perfect location for us as it is situated between our previous Loughborough and Tamworth offices.

“Customers, and our aim to provide a great service in order to meet their needs, were the driving force behind this decision. Thanks to this fantastic new facility, they will benefit from having our KBB and business management experts in one central location.”

According to EQ Software’s national sales manager Daniel Fletcher, as the market leader, creating a central hub from which both divisions of the company can support their customer base more effectively was always in the business plan. The decision was also driven by extensive growth across the business and the need for an HQ that reflects the status of its brands in the market.

“EQ and Compusoft may offer two differing service packages but we are all part of the same group and, therefore, the same team,” he explains. “Both companies share the same ethos and that is simply to help kitchen, bedroom and bathroom retailers and manufacturers save time, reduce costs and streamline efficiencies.

“This central base allows us to provide a united support solution for customers across the business and gives us a solid foundation to continue to strengthen that service in the future.”

The company’s spacious 1,244sq m HQ, complete with 80 parking spaces, has not only been designed to accommodate the company’s existing 65-plus workforce, all of whom work behind the scenes to ensure clients receive the best possible service, but also has room for growth across all areas of each organisation. It is also a valuable resource for retailers and their staff as it features a comprehensive, customer-focused training facility.

As well as essential back-office support at the end of the phone, retailers are invited to attend regular training sessions at the new state-of-the-art training facility. Kitted out with the latest software and up-to-date technology, here retailers can learn how the features of each program will help them improve the day-to-day efficiencies of their business. Bespoke training sessions, to suit customers’ individual needs, can also be arranged.

This central base allows us to provide a united support solution for customers across the business

“Our new HQ is a fantastic place to invite clients and showcase our software to those who want to find out more about how our products can help them and their businesses,” adds Fletcher. “As a service provider, the training

facility is central to our business and we have invested a lot of time and money in making this the best it can be, so that our customers get everything they need to out of the training session.”

Bringing together two large operations like Compusoft GB and EQ Software is an undeniably difficult task. But, after a short period of upheaval, both teams are up and running and, thanks to the fact they are now together in one place, stronger than ever and ready to provide our customers a service that’s second to none.

“The company has grown organically and to match the growth, we’ve always reinvested in the business to help improve our service and the strength of our systems,” says Ainge. “Our customers really believe in the value our service and the investment in a joint HQ facility not only makes our systems more accessible, but also reiterates our dedication to continually improving the service we can offer them.”
