Rixonway Kitchens merges with Magnet CKS

Rixonway Kitchens and Magnet Contract Kitchen Solutions (CKS) will now operate as one brand as part of the Nobia Group.

President and chief executive of Nobia Group, Jon Sintorn, reported in late July the plan to merge the companies as a way to increase efficiency. Both Magnet and Rixonway Kitchens believe this merger will broaden the customer portfolio, aid in logistics and delivery and provide kitchens from budget to high-end.

Andy Gould (pictured left), sales and operations director at Magnet, said: “Rixonway Kitchens has been offering quality kitchens for decades. By joining forces, it helps to broaden Magnet’s customer portfolio and our ability to offer a service to more varied customers.

“We will continue to focus on delivering market-leading service and product solutions to both private developers and social housing customers and can now offer a dedicated, easy solution product range across all price groups from budget to premium.”

Mark Hughes (pictured right), managing director at Rixonway Kitchens and now managing director at Magnet CKS said: “We are delighted to be operating as Magnet CKS, as we can offer our customers an unparalleled service proposition.

“With access to Magnet stores, we will be able to accommodate any size of project and budget and provide stock locally. For us, this means we can operate a ‘right-first-time’ ethos, together with single plot deliveries, at highly competitive and consistent price points for our customers.”

Nobia Group has seen its sales drop by more than a half in the second quarter of 2020. The company has received nearly £11 million from the Government’s Job Retention Scheme as the majority of employees were furloughed.

Magnet CKS has a network of more than 200 stores, large-scale delivery direct to site, and multiple factories. Rixonway Kitchens was founded in 1977 and has a focus on producing quality kitchens to the social and affordable housing market and private developers.

Rixonway Kitchens is based in Dewsbury and will continue to work with its local charities and organisations, including on an initiative with HM Prison Service that helps reduce unemployment by teaching prisoners new skills prior to being released.
