Roca Group appoints new chief executive

Spanish bathroom manufacturer, the Roca Group, has announced the appointment of Alberto Magrans as chief executive, following the retirement of Ramon Asensio.

Magrans (pictured) has been with the business for more than 20 years and previously held the role of senior managing director of Laufen, one of the group’s most successful global brands.

Speaking about the appointment, Roca Group UK managing director Alan Dodds said: “Alberto has been with the group for over 20 years so he understands the group well. He started off in head office – working in various Roca departments. He then went to run Roca China – where he grew it to become one of the major players in China. For the past eight years, Albert has looked after the Laufen business.

“Alberto is very commercially focused and very brand-focused and we’re very excited about the direction he’ll take the group.”

The Roca Group operates in 170 global markets, has 86 production plants throughout the world and has an annual turnover of €1.78 billion.
