Shortlist revealed for kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2018

The finalists for the biggest awards in the kitchen and bathroom industry have been unveiled.

The kbbreview Retail & Design Awards acknowledge the very best designers, retailers, showrooms and products in the UK and Ireland.

The one to watch for 2018 is Laings in Inverurie, which is nominated for THREE retail categories – Kitchen Retailer of the Year, Bathroom Retailer of the Year and Bathroom Showroom of the Year.

However, in an unprecedented move, organisers have decided that as initial shortlisting scoring was so close, there are SIX finalists named in the retail categories.

“We had a huge jump in the number of entries this year – nearly 30% more than 2017 – and it’s absolutely fantastic to see so many retailers and designers putting themselves forward,” said kbbreview managing editor Andrew Davies.

“The scoring was so close in the retail judging that we decided we had to put six through to the next stage to let the judges get a proper look at their businesses.”

The shortlisting is just the first stage of judging in the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards. In the design categories, finalists will come to London to present their designs in person to the judging panel. In the retail categories, judges visit the finalists in their businesses to see them up close.

“No other awards in this industry have this level of scrutiny and we’re really proud that any winners and finalists know they have really earned the accolade,” Davies said.

The winners will be revealed at a gala event on March 5 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole alongside the kbb Birmingham exhibition. Seats are selling out fast and we highly recommend booking as soon as you possibly can to secure your place.
