Grohe mobile showroom revs up for new UK tour

Grohe’s vast mobile showroom will return to the UK this year and next, with a number of outings planned at key consumer and trade events.

The Grohe XXL truck, which will feature a number of the firm’s flagship products using a recycled water system, will be travelling up and down Ireland in a week-long visit in June, with visits scheduled to the Homebuilding and Renovating show in London in October 2019 and Birmingham early next year.

The Grohe truck will also make its first visit to UK Construction Week, an exhibition held at Birmingham’s NEC dedicated to the built environment.

Grohe said 34,000 visitors are expected at the three-day event to be held from October 8 to October 10 this year. Visitors will include stakeholders within the design, and build and supply channels.

“We have found the XXL Truck Tour to be a unique and immersive experience; one in which we can engage with customers, from installers to architects, designers and consumers, on shaping the future of water,“ said Raj Mistry, Grohe UK marketing director.

“This year, we have an even more varied calendar of events where we hope to not only build new relationships with key customers but also educate consumers on the latest sustainable, design-focused innovations they can invest in for their homes.”

Grohe will also make a debut at the Bournemouth Air Festival where the firm will showcase its innovations such as its Blue Home Watersystem, which dispenses filtered still and sparkling water.

“The beautiful location of this festival will be the perfect reminder to visitors just how important it is to invest in ways to reduce our plastic consumption to help tackle the current threat to our planet,“ said Chris Penney, Grohe UK training manager.

Grohe added: “According to Greenpeace, an estimated 12.7 million tonnes of plastic ends up in our oceans each year – a truck load of rubbish a minute.

“With its alternative, sustainably-focused water solutions, Grohe hopes to encourage passing visitors to consider more ethically-viable methods of keeping hydrated and move away from single-use plastics.”

Grohe said its XXL Truck showcases the very latest in kitchen, bathroom and digital technology and design.

New additions to the truck for 2019 include colour finishes from the Allure and Essence lines as well as basin mixers from Grohe’s new Plus bathroom range, while other trailblazing products, like its smart app-controlled Sense Guard water security system will also be on display.
