Sirius experiences growth despite lockdown

The Sirius Buying Group has revealed that its membership numbers have continued to rise throughout lockdown and in spite of unsettling market conditions.

Specialising in electrical appliance and kitchen retail solutions, the buying group recently welcomed four new approved members – GDA Appliances, Staffs Appliance Centre, Lordship Cooker Centre and Davies’s Domestic Appliances to its growing trade community bringing its total number to 174 members and over 250 retail outlets.

Steve Jones (pictured), commercial director, Sirius said: “Given the current climate, there is an inherent need to come together and as a group, we are working hard with our Approved Suppliers to provide our network of independent retailers with the best resources and lines of support available. We are therefore delighted to welcome four new Approved Members to the group and we stand ready to cater to their individual business needs, as consumers slowly return to the high street and retail parks.

“We are working tirelessly to support our business community and by working together, we’re able to bring new opportunities to our members that can help recoup the recent shortfall following national lockdown. We have even developed a month-long programme of online events [that run until 31 July], that will replace our postponed International Conference. This Virtual Conference will present our members with group special offers, supplier deals and exclusive member promotions from our Approved Suppliers that are aimed at helping to improve retail margins and profitability.”

The Sirius Buying Group offers a collective trade purchasing power of more than £100 million, which comprises of 174 members and over 250 retail outlets. Approved Members can benefit from improved margins, greater business security and exclusive opportunities to increase profitability through specially negotiated terms with group Approved Suppliers.
