Chinese appliance giant Haier has opened a new training centre on the Birchwood Park business park near Warrington.
The new Haier Europe Training Activation Centre will provide training for Haier’s engineers on the company’s latest products and technology.
The launch of the new training centre was attended by Haier Europe UK and RoI chief executive David Meyerowitz, Haier Europe general manager Yan Xiaoming, UK and RoI service director Andy Lane, and Warrington council CEO Stephen Broomhead.
Haier already has two others units on Birchwood Park – a Brand Activation Centre, which opened in 2020, and a deluxe showroom comprising sections for Haier, Hoover and Candy, plus a chef’s theatre for cooking demonstrations. It also showcases 140 appliance models from the group’s portfolio.
Commenting on the opening of the new centre, Haier Europe UK and RoI service director Andy Lane said: “Haier Europe’s new unit at Birchwood Park is a training activation centre, where skilled engineers will be trained in the company’s latest products and technology. This training will enable them to provide a top-class service when our customers call us with any queries.”
He added: “This is Haier’s third unit in Birchwood Park and we are delighted with our latest expansion. We look forward to training our engineers in this new unit and we are delighted to be centring these units in Birchwood Park as we continue to grow our strong relationship with the park.”
Speaking on behalf of Birchwood Park, commercial director Martin O’Rourke said: “For years, Birchwood Park has had an exceptional relationship with Haier UK and we are delighted to once again support the business with its continued growth, this time opening a training academy right here at the Park.
