Kutchenhaus partners choose Whiteley for their fourth showroom

Live music and cookery dems from a professional chef were all part of the opening celebrations for the opening of the latest Kutchenhaus franchise.

The latest showroom for the German kitchen specialist owned by Nobilia was in the Hampshire town of Whiteley.

Showroom owners Andy Barwell and Paul Turner ran an opening VIP night and opening weekend event with cookery demonstrations from a professional chef and music from a Spanish guitarist.

This is the fourth Kutchenhaus franchise for Barwell and Turner, who already operate showrooms in Chichester, Petersfield and Romsey. They have 20 years’ experience in the kitchen industry and got together in 2017 to open their first Kutchenhaus franchise.

The 1,500sq ft showroom in Whiteley Way has 12 displays with appliances from brands such as Bosch, Neff and Siemens. The five team members at the new store include existing Romsey showroom manager Simon Passaway, designer Iain Wraxall and administrator and lead taker Susan Dalgarno.

Commenting on their latest showroom, Barwell said: “The Whiteley showroom takes us to that next level and completes our portfolio. We’re excited to be opening this space, which will be our flagship showroom out of the four, and we’ve cherry picked the very best people to work with us to deliver an exceptional service.”

Co-owner Turner added: “The potential is massive and it’s an exciting time for us to be opening this space. This showroom has a premium feel, with displays showcasing the very latest in kitchen technology, and some niche products which are difficult to find elsewhere.”

On why they chose the showroom’s location, he said: “In terms of location, we’re situated close to places like Wagamama, M&S Food and Cineworld, so we can welcome passers-by, as well as those who are already on their journey to finding a new kitchen.”

Speaking of the team at Whiteley, Barwell said: “Thanks to our collective knowledge and experience, we’re able to offer a first-class service from start to finish, and we’ve assembled a fantastic team of professionals who treat it like it’s their own business and will work across our four locations. We’re enjoying having initial conversations with customers.”

Earlier this month, Kutchenhaus opened in Solihull, and there are a small number of showrooms scheduled to launch before Christmas, as the business continues to expand.
