CTD Tiles named as fastest growing online tile brand in new report

The latest report on the online market has identified CTD Tiles as the fastest-growing tile brand.

The report from Salience Search Marketing analysed 11 crucial performance indicators, which included year-on-year visibility, search volume trends and brand awareness.

The report also showed that the tile industry had undergone 1% organic growth in the past six months.

In determining the top five fastest-growing online tile brands, the report analysed the number of monthly searches for each brand, combined with search trends across the past three months versus the past year.

CTD Tiles topped the table with 18,100 searches per month, and although Fired Earth matched it for search numbers, CTD saw an increase over the past three months of 8%, compared with 7% for Fired Earth. And so the report ranked Fired Earth in second position.

In third place was Johnson Tiles with 5,400 searches, fourth was Direct Tile Warehouse with 2,400 and Stokes Tiles with 1,900 came fifth.

Looking at the report’s findings on visibility scores alone, Topps Tiles was in the number one slot, with Tile Giant in second place and CTD Tiles in third. Fourth place went to Tiles Direct and in fifth place was Tile Mountain.

Commenting on the results, Brett James, managing director at Salience Search Marketing, said: “In a landscape where the demand for tiles hasn’t seen a significant increase, there’s still a notable growth within the sector, highlighting the enduring relevance of tiles in homes and businesses, even in the face of tightened budgets.

“With CTD named as the top emerging tiles brand to see the biggest growth in online visibility, it’s crucial for other brands within the sector to focus on strategy and boost their social media presence. Overall, building a strong following and online presence across multiple channels becomes crucial in driving sales and capitalising on the expanding market demand.”

The report also the most searched-for items relating to tiles. Top was floor tiles (60,500), second came kitchen floor tiles (33,100), followed by vinyl floor tiles (27,100), kitchen wall tiles (27,100) and bathroom floor tiles (22,200). Grey bathroom tiles, mosaic tiles and metro tiles were among those products showing a falling trend on searches.
