Concrete basin brand Kast is relocating to a new state-of-the-art facility in Nottingham’s Power Park.
The transition to the new 33,154 sq ft site is set to be completed by March 2025, with Kast believing the move will boost its production capacity. In addition, the new site will allow the business to boost its operational efficiency and allow it to diversify into new product categories.
The new facility will also feature solar panels, electric vehicle charging stations, and will operate entirely on electricity, which Kast says will remove the need for the use of natural gas.
In addition, the site will feature modern office spaces, as well as a showroom for displaying Kast’s product range. The company has also added that the showroom’s centrepiece will be a bespoke concrete table, in a nod to the company’s signature style.
David Knight, managing director of Kast, commented: “We are incredibly excited to embark on this new chapter for Kast. This expansion not only strengthens our commitment to sustainable practices but also underscores our dedication to growth and innovation across new product categories.
“This is a significant step forward in our journey to better serve our customers and support our talented employees.”
Last year, Kast was acquired by American bathroom giant Kohler, which claims to be one of America’s oldest and largest privately held companies.
Commenting on Kast’s new UK facility, Larry Yuen, group president of K&B International & New Ventures at Kohler, said that he’d already personally visited the new site. “I can confirm it’s going to be world-class,” he added.
