Markus Sander, the managing director of sales for German-brand Häcker Kitchens, has “mutually agreed to part ways” with the company, with Häcker citing “different views on the company’s future sales orientation” as the reason behind his departure.
According to the company, Mr Sander will leave the company at the end of this month. Following his departure, Marcus Roth and Olaf Thuleweit will temporarily step in to assume responsibility for sales until a long-term successor can be appointed.
In Sander’s absence, Häcker Kitchens’ interim management has assured its customers that its usual levels of customer co-operation will continue to run smoothly despite the sales shake-up.
Announcing the news, Häcker Kitchens’ said that Sander will be leaving the company “as a result of different views on the company’s future sales orientation in a persistently challenging economic environment”. It is not currently known what the differing views are within Häcker Kitchens that contributed to the decision for Mr Sander to leave.
Sander joined Häcker Kitchens as managing director of sales around a decade ago. The company has said that in recent years, he and his team have significantly contributed to the business’ successful development.
Jochen Finkemeier, Häcker Kitchens’ owner and managing director, thanked Marukus Sander for his work over the last ten years, on behalf of the entire senior management team.
He continued: “The entire company has developed impressively during this time and Markus Sander has made an important contribution to this with his expertise and commitment. We wish Mr Sander all the best for the future and much success in his new challenges.”
The Häcker Kitchens’ management team says it is already seeking a replacement for Sander’s vacant position, and that it expects this to be filled by the end of 2025.
Earlier this year, Häcker Kitchens reported seeing a significant drop in its year-on-year turnover figures, despite its export share remaining relatively stable.
