Frontline Bathrooms and Smiths Briten invests six figures into new technology

Frontline Bathrooms and Smiths Briten has announced a six-figure investment into a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software system.

As sister brands under The Bathroom Distribution Group, which is headed by senior managing director Darren Allison, both Frontline and Smiths Briten will see their legacy software replaced by the new ERP system.

A statement from the companies said the investment will streamline business operations and will “make delivery into retailers more efficient and timelier”. The new system will include new features such as electronic proof of delivery, better visibility of stock levels when placing an order, as well as more efficient delivery routes for improved sustainability.

It’s expected that on a business level the ERP will help to simplify back-office processes across both companies, including minimising dual stocking and more efficient delivery schedule into the warehouses.

Commenting on the new system, Allison said: “We’re investing heavily in smarter systems and streamlined operations to make doing business with us easier, faster, and more reliable.

“At the heart of this is the rollout of a new ERP system, which will allow us to simplify processes, improve accuracy, and provide a better overall experience for our customers.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the backing of our parent company, Huws Gray, whose support has been instrumental in enabling these changes. Their investment and belief in our long-term vision has given both myself and the wider team the confidence and resource to drive meaningful improvements. The investment of the new ERP systems is just the start.”
