Moores introduces new business improvement manager

Joe Constable is Moores’ new business improvement manager

Looking to prove its “commitment to data-driven performance improvements”, kitchen manufacturer Moores has welcomed Joe Constable to its operational leadership team as its new business improvement manager.

In the new role, Moores says Constable will work to embed continuous improvement ideals into every layer of the business. He will first focus on building a deep understanding of how Moores’ separate departments operate and connect, and then develop a “more structured and visible improvement pipeline”.

Constable is said to be particularly passionate about eliminating inefficiencies and making use of data to support decision-making. Specifically, he plans to enhance how improvement projects are measured and sustained over time, with a focus on metrics like cost efficiency and “right first-time” performance.

As part of his work, Constable will also reportedly look at how digital innovations such as AI and advanced analytics can support faster decision making. According to Moores, he is particularly focused on how these digital tools can contribute to more sustainable operations.

“Improvement should feel like part of the day job, not something separate,” Constable commented. “If teams are involved from the start and can see the impact of their input, they’re far more likely to keep contributing.”

In other news, earlier this year Moores once again held its annual employee awards ceremony, with its collective workforce now having contributed over 1,000 combined years of service to the company. In total, 56 members of the Moores team were recognised for their long-standing service, with almost a quarter of its total workforce having been with the business for more than 20 years each.
