Colchester-based kitchen manufacturer The Lubina Kitchen Company has invested in a new edge banding machine, which it says will allow it to further increase its manufacturing capabilities.
According to the company, the Homag EDGETEQ S-380 edge bander has already been installed at its factory. Lubina Kitchen Company says the machine will enable it to achieve “even sharper attention to detail, allowing us to achieve cleaner finishes, tighter tolerances, and consistently high-quality results”.
The manufacturer says the investment was made specifically to bolster its manufacturing quality, with the machine able to handle all board types. It also offers features such as corner rounding and a new efficient glue pot system, which is designed to reduce waste while improving bond strength.

The company recently spoke about its plans to invest further in its production machinery in the September issue of kbbreview Magazine. In addition to the new edge banding machine, managing director Emma Rose also discussed plans to increase the company’s warehouse team and number of transport vehicles.
