Following recent news that it had revived the BC Sanitan name, bathroom company BC Designs has revealed it has “significant plans” to launch both brands within the US market.
Discussing last week’s news about the brand’s return, Adam Smith, BC Designs’ national sales manager, said: “BC Sanitan has a long heritage within the bathroom and now kitchen industry, so bringing it back to life has prompted understandable curiosity. While we cannot share the finer details behind the transition, what we can say is that this is a moment of return.
“Both BC Designs and BC Sanitan were originally founded by Barrie Cutchie, and although he is no longer involved with either business, there is a sense of the brand coming home. Housing the two together creates a continuity that feels right for us as a company and for the trade who have known these names for decades.
However he also revealed that the BC Sanitan relaunch was part of the company’s wider growth strategy. He continued: “There are significant plans in place for both brands, including an upcoming launch into the United States. British bathroom design has a strong identity and an enduring appeal overseas, and we believe that BC Designs and BC Sanitan will offer something valuable to the US market as it looks to British heritage and craftsmanship with increasing interest.”
Last year, BC Designs also unveiled a significant company rebrand, which the company said focused more closely on its “exceptional British craftsmanship” and design credentials.
