Franke Home Solutions has announced that its CEO and president, Barbara Borra, is retiring after seven years in the role, with Corrado Mura taking over as her successor from January 1, 2026.
Throughout her time in the role, Borra has lead the development and positioning of the Franke Home Solutions brand, with the company saying she has set “lasting impulses for the future of the division”. This included overseeing a complete renovation of its Aarburg HQ showroom in 2023, which Borra described as “the last step in its rebrand journey to become Franke Home Solutions”.
Patrik Wohlhauser, Franke Group CEO, thanked Borra for her loyalty, strong commitment and valuable contributions over the last seven years. He continued: “Under her leadership, we strengthened our market position, launched pioneering product innovations, and expanded our international presence – even in a challenging market environment. Furthermore, notable milestones were achieved that advanced the strategic development of Franke Home Solutions, including significant improvements in operational efficiency. We wish her all the best for this new chapter in her life.”
Meanwhile, Corrado Mura is stepping up to take her place after joining the company back in March 2020. He most recently served as Franke Home Solutions’ vice president for the EMEA region. Prior to starting at Franke, Mura also spent more than 20 years holding leadership positions at Whirlpool. He also holds a degree in Business and Managerial Economics from the University of Cagliari.
Discussing the leadership change, Wohlhauser commented: “With Corrado Mura, we are gaining an experienced leader from within our own ranks who not only has extensive industry knowledge and many years of international experience, but also a strong track record.
