National white goods installation company Kaboodle has announced it is exiting the housebuilding sector completely – blaming continual market “challenges” – and is now looking to to focus completely on supporting major manufacturers and retailers.
As it looks to focus further on appliance installation and exchange services, the company says it will be working closely with its current housebuilder partners in upcoming months to ensure a smooth and professional transition.
The national installation company says it can fit kitchen appliances anywhere in the country thanks to its five nationwide depots in Stevenage, Telford, Leeds, Highbridge and Plymouth. Additionally, Kaboodle directly employees more than 90% of its kitchen appliance installers, who are qualified to carry out work on a wide range of products, including chimney/island hoods and gas range cookers.
“The current housebuilder market continues to present challenges, and we anticipate these conditions will persist for the foreseeable future,” explained Kaboodle’s senior leadership team. “Kaboodle has built a large and loyal client base within the services sector and is widely recognised as a premium supplier in this market. 2026 is the right time to make this strategic move.
“We have invested significantly in our depot network, people, and operational processes to support manufacturers and retail clients. Further enhancements will be introduced this year to strengthen our already compelling proposition and provide even greater support to our customers.”
The senior team continued: “The direct-to-consumer (D2C) market continues to evolve rapidly. As technology advances, our customers increasingly expect a personalised and tailored journey, underpinned by flexibility, transparency, and trusted partnerships that uphold their brand values and reputation.
“Kaboodle remains committed to leading the market in delivering a best-in-class white glove experience, ensuring manufacturers and consumers alike benefit from exceptional service standards and operational excellence.”
kbbreview interviewed Kaboodle founder Matthew Pitt in June 2025, ahead of the company’s 20th anniversary, where he discussed the importance of keeping an eye on the future of the market.
