Frontline introduces new metallic painting service

Frontline Bathrooms has introduced a new metallic painting service, and is now offering 16 metallic finishes across its AquaKast freestanding bath range.

The new offering introduces metallic finishes, from the warm tones like Blackened Bronze, Copper and Antique Gold to more understated options including Champagne, Platinum, Old Silver and Silver Blush.

The new service uses specialist surface preparation techniques and high-performance coatings to achieve a smooth, durable finish. Frontline says that each bath is finished to order, with the service operating through its existing special-order process. The current lead-time is 14 days.

The company says this will give retailers and designers greater choice without the need to display additional bath models as it is also offering a dedicated metallic colour chart, which can act as a physical reference to help customers explore the full range of finishes.

Frontline also says it anticipates its metallic paint service will also create more opportunities for retailers to add value to sales, while also giving designers more creative freedom to bring bathroom design schemes together.

Darren Allison, managing director at Frontline Bathrooms, explains: “Personalisation has become a much bigger part of the bathroom conversation, but there’s a practical challenge for retailers,” said Darren Allison, managing director at Frontline Bathrooms.

“Customers want more choice, more colours and more ways to make their bathroom their own, yet showroom space is limited and nobody can realistically display every possible variation of a product. That’s why we see this as such an exciting development for our AquaKast collection. We are not asking retailers to take on another 16 baths. We are giving them 16 additional ways to sell the baths they already know, while offering something that feels genuinely different to the customer.

“Metallic baths have traditionally been associated with the very top end of the market, but there’s no reason why that level of individuality should be restricted to a small number of specialist suppliers.”
