BiKBBI teams up with WFF

The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI) has announced it has formed a strategic partnership with the Worktop Fabricators Federation (WFF) to further its support of the KBB industry.

The WFF was formed in 2020, and seeks to promote good working practices for health & safety in the workplace, as well as be a voice for fabricators on important industry matters.

Following news of the partnership, BiKBBI says it plans to work closely with the WFF to provide education, improve standards, nurture collaboration and provide guidance to installers in the KBB industry.

BiKBBI CEO Damian Walters commented: “KBB installation is a multi-skilled trade with many areas of specialism. The work that BiKBBI does to support installation businesses and drive positive change is reliant on strong relationships with organisations representing all areas of the sector.

“Surfaces and stone masonry are a significant element of kitchen and bathroom installation, and we are in no doubt that the newly formed relationship with the WFF will deliver significant benefits for both BiKBBI registered installers, the wider installation sector and the worktop fabrication industry.”

This follows recent news that the BiKBBI have partnered with fittings manufacturer Blum UK to launch a new initiative focused on increasing the number of compliant installers.

Andy Phillips, director and co-founder of the WFF, spoke to kbbreview earlier this year about why the UK was unlikely to see a ban on engineered stone products.
