Roper Rhodes to open new distribution centre

Roper Rhodes has announced plans to expand into a new, larger facility in Severn Beach, South Gloucestershire, as a result of consistent sales growth and increased product demand in recent years.

The company’s new 235,000 sq ft distribution hub reportedly has storage capacity for 44,000 pallets, and will house 12,000 SKUs. As a result, Roper Rhodes says the space will enhance operational efficiency and enable the company to expand its product portfolio.

The space will also house new larger showroom spaces, have improved customer conference facilities, and even feature a purpose-built photography studio.

Roper Rhodes says work has already begun on preparing the new building, and that it plans to begin operations at the Matrix, in Severn Beach, in July 2026.

“We’ve experienced fantastic sales growth over the past few years,” explained chief operations officer William Steele. “Our new distribution centre will ensure that our extremely generous inventory strategy can be maintained and will allow us to continue to provide excellent customer service to all our customers into the future.”

Roper Rhodes chief executive officer, Leigh Leather, also added: “This relocation is important as it not only reflects our progress as a business but also our commitment to the people who work here and the area. A long period of time was spent waiting for the right place to become available in close proximity to Portbury which would allow us to continue to retain our existing workforce.”
