Sanctuary Bathrooms expands with new warehouse and staff

Retailer Sanctuary Bathrooms is set for a major expansion having recently signed a lease on a new 16,000 sq ft warehouse, as well as increasing staff numbers by 20%, following what the retailer calls a record year for online sales.

The Leeds-based company, which operates as both an online and bricks-and-mortar retailer, secured the lease on the new warehouse last month. The new site will join Sanctuary Bathrooms’ existing 12,000 sq ft warehouse operation, which opened in 2024, taking its combined warehouse footprint to more than 28,000 sq ft.

Sanctuary Bathrooms says the additional space will allow it to hold much more stock on site, helping to reduce its reliance on external storage. This will in turn help it to shorten customer lead times and fulfil orders more efficiently.

The new warehouse space will also allow the retailer to further diversify its product range, and also reportedly accelerate Sanctuary Bathrooms’ plans to expand its own-brand range with UK and overseas suppliers.

Aside from just warehousing space, Sanctuary Bathrooms is also increasing its number of employees, with five new hires joining the business so far in 2026. With its total headcount rising now to 29, Sanctuary Bathrooms says it has expanded its marketing team by 60%, and that its warehouse operations have grown by 33%.

Among the new appointments are Rebecca Parvin-Graham, who has joined Sanctuary Bathrooms as digital PR manager, and Halle Audsley as social media manager. Their appointments mark the business’ first-ever in-house PR and social media roles.

Parvin-Graham joins the business having already gained extensive agency and in-house media relations experience, having led leading global PR and communications for BrightHR and TestGorilla. Audsley, meanwhile, joins Sanctuary Bathrooms following her role as marketing executive at Buy It Direct Group, bringing experience across social media, marketing, and commercial roles.

The company says the recent expansion follows a period of particularly impressive growth, having seen double-digit rise in both online revenue and transactions between 2024 and 2025, with last year said to be a record for online revenue. Furthermore, Sanctuary Bathrooms says that website page views also grew by more than 20% over the same period.

“We have never shied away from investing in our people or the infrastructure needed to grow,” commented director James Roberts. “Securing this additional warehouse capacity is an important step in scaling the business and gives us greater control over how we stock and fulfil orders.

“Customers expect fast, reliable fulfilment, while challenging market conditions mean retailers need the flexibility to respond quickly. Holding more stock ourselves will help us shorten lead times, broaden the range we can offer, and reduce our reliance on external storage, while creating the capacity for further growth.”

Sanctuary Bathrooms’ digital marketing manager, Mark Fullilove, added: “Since bringing marketing in house in 2020, we have seen sustained growth in our online business. That success depends on every part of the customer journey working together – from product choice and marketing through to stock availability, customer service, and delivery.

“The investment in additional warehouse capacity and new expertise across the team gives us a stronger platform for the next stage of growth. Bringing dedicated PR and social media roles in house will also help us build our profile, strengthen our presence in the KBB sector, and introduce Sanctuary Bathrooms to new audiences across the UK.”
