kbb Birmingham 2022: ‘We need to be honest when there are challenges’, says Bora

Willi Bruckbauer, founder, Bora

Q: What are the main challenges facing your sector?

A: One of the main challenges comes with changes in the way that consumers are using their kitchens to cook. For Bora, we see this as an opportunity to offer the latest technology in a way that consumers can understand and embrace, and use to prepare meals in a professional way, while also tying in with the trends for minimalist design in the modern domestic setting.

Q: How do you think the relationship between supplier and retailer is changing?

A: The past 18 months or so have taught us much about the relationship between the supplier and the retailer and what needs to be done to make this stronger. The key to this is open communication and I believe this is something that we have improved on recently. To be honest, when there are challenges, we need to keep talking and embrace changes together. That way, the KBB industry will emerge stronger in the long run.

Q: What are you most looking forward to at the kbb Birmingham show this month?

A: Events like kbb Birmingham are very important in terms of exposure for our products and introducing new people to the Bora brand. Nowhere else is it possible to attract so much attention in such a small amount of time. We will be running live demonstrations of our latest products on our stand throughout this year’s show, as working models are the very best way to highlight the advantages of cooking with Bora.
