kbb Birmingham 2020: ‘A great national platform for launches’, says Roman

Exhibitor interview: David Osborne, managing director, Roman

Q: Why are trade shows such as this one important for your business?

A: We are long-term supporters of kbb and it always proves to be a great national platform for new product and range launches for the UK mainstream market.

Q: Why should retailers come to shows like this? What are the benefits to them?

A: It is imperative retailers visit shows like kbb so they are kept up to speed with ever faster-moving trends in the marketplace and new product designs. The pace of change is unrelenting.

Q: What are you looking forward to most at this year’s kbb show?

A: We are looking forward to seeing the majority of our retail base across the country over a four-day period, while also meeting a few new retailers.

Q: How do you view the health of the UK KBB market? In what ways could it improve and how can the industry improve it?

A: With a bit of certainty in the economy now, we are expecting a strong year from the market and the major improvement needed is compliance, which needs to be closely followed by all stakeholders to ensure the long-term health and viability of the market.

Q: What are the main challenges you will face as a business this year and how will you overcome these?

A: Once again, the main challenges we face are keeping up with sustained high levels of growth and improving all aspects of our offer and service.
