Europe debates next steps for Water Label

The European Bathroom Forum has set out the next steps for implementing the Water Label initiative.

It met at the Roca Barcelona Gallery this month to discuss the next steps for the initiative, which aims to contribute to the global goals of the European Commission on the sustainability and efficiency of water and energy consumption.

The new platform, which is made up of 57 European manufacturers and nine trade bodies and associations, is now focusing on obtaining the support and recognition of the European Commission so that manufacturers will voluntarily adopt this information as standard.

A transition period of 18 months is planned and will be mainly devoted to defining the technical content of the label, as well as making this initiative known within the sector.

This period will end with the launch of the initiative at ISH Frankfurt in 2019.
