Staff from KBB supplier Woodstock have completed the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge, surpassing their fundraising target for St Michael’s Hospice by a healthy 128%.
The team ascended three of Wales’ highest mountain peaks, Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Cadair Idris and Pen y Fan, and managed to complete the whole challenge in just under 14 and a half hours.
Along the way, they raised a grand total of £3,215, far exceeding their initial fundraising target of £2,500. Woodstock says that all of the money raised will go towards the hospice’s ongoing work.
Based in Hereford, St Michael’s Hospice is an independent charity providing free, specialist palliative and end-of-life care to people across Herefordshire and the surrounding areas. The charity is dedicated to improving patients’ quality of life and supporting their families.
Woodstock has partnered with St Michael’s Hospice for over two years, most recently taking part in the hospice’s run event in May.
“We are incredibly proud to continue our partnership with St Michael’s Hospice and to support the incredible work they do,” said Charlotte Tilby, Woodstock Trading Co’s head of marketing. “Taking on the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge was a fantastic opportunity for our team to come together for such an important cause, and we’re delighted to have exceeded our fundraising target.”
