Wren opens doors to Bathstore employees following collapse

Retail giant Wren Kitchens has stepped in to offer employment opportunities to staff at Bathstore following the announcement this week that it had gone into administration, putting 500 jobs at risk.

According to a statement issued by Wren, the company has already hosted two recruitment events dedicated to Bathstore employees, with some interviews have already taken place.

A Wren Kitchens spokesperson said: “Wren Kitchens is always on the lookout for talent, especially skilled designers and those with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

“Those who face losing their jobs at Bathstore have transferrable attributes that we’re looking for, including first-class customer service and creative designer skills to help our customers’ dream kitchens come to life.

“Wren is a family-run, passionate business that’s committed to developing and nurturing talent and we’re looking for new recruits to join the Wren family to help shape our exciting journey and lead the way in the kitchen retail industry.”

Wren said the move is part of its ongoing recruitment programme in which it plans to employ around 600 designers over the next 12-months. This will, support the ongoing growth of the business, including the opening of 12 new showrooms across the UK this year.

A third Bathstore recruitment event will be held at Wren’s Solihull showroom on Wednesday, 3rd July from 10am to 1pm. Those interested should register by emailing [email protected].
