Dornbracht freezes prices until 2022

Dornbracht has committed to freezing the prices of its fittings and accessories for bathrooms, spas and kitchens until next year.

The high-end manufacturer says it has seen many market players increase their prices, but it has decided to buck that trend in the short term in order to provide planning security for its retail and trade partners.

Stefan Gesing, chief executive at Dornbracht AG & Co. KG, said: “There is no doubt that our retail and trade partnerships take top priority. We understand their plight and are providing planning security by refusing to raise our prices now. Reliability is our leitmotif for developing the company and increasing customer orientation.”

Dornbracht’s only manufacturing site is in Iserlohn, Germany, and 98% of the required production materials come from the European market, with 78% of these from Germany.

According to Dornbracht, there have been regular reports of price increases in the commodities market, as well as the availability of building materials and the impact this is having. This news has led several companies to increase their prices.

Those price increases often cause considerable additional expense for retail and trade customers and so Dornbracht has pledged not to pass any increases in commodity prices over the next 12 months.

The company said it would only be adjusting its prices at the turn of the year (2021/2022).
