Poggenpohl reopens Wigmore Street branch

Poggenpohl has reopened its Wigmore Street showroom (pictured) in the heart of London with a brand new luxury retail concept designed to appeal to the interior design and architect community.

The German kitchen brand, which was bought by Munich-based industrial group Adcuram in 2016, will also soon open a new studio in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, as it continues its geographical diversification strategy.

According to its website, a showroom manager and designer have already been recruited.

Poggenpohl closed its Lavender Hill showroom near Battersea, south London, in December.

Kbbreview understands that the luxury brand has been eyeing up London’s commuter suburbs to bring it closer to its customer base.

Adcuram has invested heavily in Poggenpohl’s retail estate with a new statement architectural concept that is pared-back and features its new +Venovo lifestyle collection designed for open-plan living spaces.

It seems that the firm has not yet replaced former managing director Thomas Kredatus, who died suddenly last year.

Poggenpohl’s website says that Gernot Mang remains the sole MD.
