Trojan goes green at kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2020

Trojan has signed up as one of the Sustainability Partners of the 2020 kbbreview Retail & Design Awards.

The bathroom manufacturer is joining the Used Kitchen Exchange and Bauformat as sustainability partners for the awards, lending their support to our pledge to make the event carbon-neutral.

We asked David Mosley, managing director of Trojan, the importance he places on being involved with the awards.

Q: Why did you feel it was important for Trojan to support the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards?

A: The kbbreview Retail and Design Awards are not only recognised as the most prestigious awards in the sector, but they’re also the longest-running, with 2020 marking the 26th year. Trojan is delighted to support an event that continues to celebrate everything that’s fantastic about our industry and it’s an honour to be a part of a now iconic event.

From awards for customer service, to community champions, the awards don’t just celebrate designers and retailers. It’s great to celebrate everyone involved in the kitchen and bathroom industry. We’re proud to be support the event and are very much looking forward to the evening.

With sustainability now firmly at the heart of many of our customer conversations, 2020 was the right time for us to become a sponsor and attend the event, knowing that our values are very much aligned. So the timing is perfect.

Q: Why do you think it important for events such as the awards to be sustainable?

A: At Trojan, we work hard to ensure our bathroom products are made to last, creating as little waste as possible.

In today’s world, it’s essential that we all try to minimise our impact on the environment. From individuals to businesses, even small changes can make a big difference. Events can be exciting and memorable without the need to leave a massive footprint. From using renewable energy resources, to putting an event close to public transport – such as the Birmingham International train station, which is a few minutes’ walk from the Hilton Metropole hotel – small changes across the industry can all help make a difference.

Trojan is delighted to be sponsoring the sustainability aspect of the awards and looking forward to seeing who wins all awards this year, particularly in the bathroom sector. It’s fantastic to celebrate the innovators and those helping shape the kitchen and bathroom industry.

Q: What are you most looking forward to in the year ahead?

A: At Trojan, we’re really excited about the year ahead as we’ll be focusing on some exciting new product launches, including our new range of slate shower trays and more luxurious freestanding baths being added to our Trojan Collection.

Q: Which aspects of your working relationship with kbbreview do you value most?

A: Trojan has respected the work of kbbreview, and the awards, for many years, and we’ve always considered getting involved.

The KBB team is very knowledgeable and has real expertise within the industry, which is the exact same positioning as Trojan and we are looking forward to continuing our relationship over the coming years.
