Tameside-based home renovation business Adamsons is celebrating its 40th anniversary this October, and will be holding a showroom event next week to mark the occasion.
First founded in 1984 by Colin and Susan Moors in their family home, Adamsons is now a second-generation family business, being led by Rachel Moors. By 1990, the company had outgrown its initial setup, which necessitated the opening of a head office in Dukingfield, Greater Manchester. Just a year later, this was followed by the opening of a dedicated showroom.
The business now employs a staff of 20, and says it has completed over 6,000 projects since its humble beginnings.
To celebrate its 40-year milestone, Adamsons is hosting a celebratory event on Saturday, October 12, at its newly renovated showroom in Dukinfield. In addition to celebrating the company’s success, the event will also feature talks from industry professionals on home design trends, as well as cooking demonstrations, showroom tours and live entertainment.
“When my parents started Adamsons back in 1984, they set out with a vision to deliver construction services that offered excellent customer service,” said Rachel Moors, managing director of Adamsons.
“That vision quickly resonated with our customers, and by the early ’90s, we had grown into a company capable of handling every aspect of home transformation. Reaching 40 years is a testament to the hard work of our team and the trust our clients have placed in us.
“While much has changed in the industry since we began, our core values of integrity, empathy, and customer service have remained. These principles have been the backbone of our success, and we are incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved. As we celebrate this milestone, we look forward to many more years of serving our community and continuing the legacy my parents began.”
In other news, Adamsons recently appointed two new team members, following the retirement of its long-standing architectural designer, Paul Hopkinson.
Kbbreview is also celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and marked the occasion with a total redesign of kbbreview Magazine. On the latest episode of The kbbreview Podcast, we spoke with other retailers who have been in the KBB sector for the last 40 years about the changes they’d seen across their careers.
