Stoke-based tile and bathroom retailer Tile Mountain Group has outlined plans to significantly increase its showroom presence in the years ahead, after it recently passed £100m in annual turnover for the first time.

Tile Mountain Group, which currently has 12 showrooms nationwide, recorded turnover of £101.8m in its year-end accounts for 2023, which is an increase of more than 17% over the previous year’s figure.

In addition, the retailer said it had also seen pre-tax profits of £7.4m, which is an impressive increase of roughly 94% over its 2022 profits.

According to the Group, it has continued to see further “robust” sales group into 2024, with sales currently trending at around 30% higher year-on-year.

As a result of the company’s positive growth, Tile Mountain Group also said it plans to increase its showroom total from 12 to 30 over the next few years.

The retailer is planning on opening a new automated warehouse in Q4 of this year, which it believes will enhance logistical efficiency and further boost its ability to serve customers.

Mo Iqbal, Chairman of Tile Mountain Group, commented: “Crossing the £100 million turnover mark is a major milestone for us and a testament to the hard work of our team, the loyalty of our customers, and the trust our business partners place in us. We’ve seen tremendous growth, and we’re well on track for even bigger achievements in 2024/25.

“As we continue to grow, our focus remains on innovation and enhancing the customer experience. The opening of our new automated warehouse and the planned expansion of our showrooms are crucial steps in our journey to becoming the go-to destination for tiles and bathroom products in the UK.”

Tile Mountain Group also has a strong presence in the e-commerce market, and was also named as one of the most visible tile companies in the UK, according to new research which came out earlier this year.
