LBS Builders Merchants has announced significant investments into its kitchen and bathroom showrooms, looking to create more “contemporary retail-style” displays to appeal to both trade and consumer customers.

Although the business says it is a builders’ merchant at heart with more than 90 years of experience, it has aspirations of being “the go-to kitchen experts locally, offering high-quality, affordable luxury solutions supported by expert design, product knowledge, and customer service”.

The investment programme is said to be ongoing, but LBS has already invested more than £80k into its Llandeilo kitchen and bathroom showroom, with a full renovation also underway at its Port Talbot branch.

The Llandeilo showroom has undergone “a major overhaul” as a result, transforming the space from a traditional builders’ merchant display into a contemporary retail-style kitchen and bathroom showroom. LBS says the space has been designed to inspire customers as well as demonstrate the merchant’s affordable luxury products.

Investment will also go into expanding displays of Symphony’s Freedom range across multiple stores, following the success of its display at LBS’ Barry branch.

Outside of showroom upgrades, LBS has also made significant investments into its design technology to further enhance customer experience, such as moving to Winner Flex for kitchen designs, and Virtual Worlds for bathrooms.

“Our ambition is to make LBS the go-to kitchen and bathroom supplier for both trade and retail customers,” explained Adam Stefanovic, kitchen and bathroom Commercial Manager at LBS.

“We’re investing heavily in our showrooms, design technology and people to deliver a truly modern customer experience. From accessible kitchen solutions to realistic design visualisations, our focus is on combining quality products with expert service, ensuring customers can achieve affordable luxury without compromise.”
