Caple investment brings major energy savings

Caple has made a series of investments into its business over the past year, with the company looking to improve its sustainable credentials, enhance its efficiency and increase consumer awareness.

The company said a solar energy installation at its headquarters, originally completed in May 2025, has already delivered better than expected reductions to electricity consumption.

According to Caple, electricity usage fell by 65% in June 2025 compared with the same month the previous year, exceeding its initial expectation of around 35%.

Across the first year of operation, monthly savings ranged from 10% during the winter to a peak of 67% in July 2025, resulting in average electricity savings of just under 40%. Caple also said the performance means the investment is expected to pay for itself in less than two years.

The company added that the solar installation forms part of a wider sustainability strategy, which has also seen it complete the transition to an all-electric forklift fleet across its operations in a bid to reduce emissions and improve efficiency.

Alongside its environmental investments, Caple has also recently created a dedicated office suite for its product development team, saying the new facilities will support collaboration and future product innovation.

In the last year, the appliances, sinks, taps, and furniture specialist has also expanded its consumer marketing activity by launching television advertising for the first time. Caple said the campaign (which was launched earlier this year) is designed to increase brand awareness, support its retail partners and reach new audiences across the UK.

Caple’s financial director, Graham Perry said: “These investments are about more than improving our business today; they are about ensuring Caple remains a forward-thinking, sustainable and innovative company for many years to come. We are proud of the progress we have made and excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.”
