Luxury bathroom specialist C.P. Hart has appointed Richard Baylis as its new managing director, with the appointment taking effect on September 1.
Baylis succeeds Dean Weston, who has been promoted by parent company Wolseley Group to lead its Plumb Centre network of 450 branches nationwide.
He joins C.P. Hart with more than 20 years’ experience across the home improvement sector, having held senior roles at O2, Wickes, Homebase and Bathrooms by Design. Most recently, he was country manager at German kitchen fittings manufacturer Vauth-Sagel.
Baylis takes over as C.P. Hart prepares to mark its 90th anniversary in 2027. The retailer currently operates 16 showrooms across London, the South East and Cheshire, including its 20,000sq ft flagship showroom in Waterloo.
The appointment follows a period of investment for the business, including the opening of a showroom in Hatch End, the refurbishment and expansion of its Guildford showroom, and the planned relocation of its Chiswick showroom to larger premises, due to open this autumn.
C.P. Hart works with architects, interior designers and private clients, alongside a portfolio of supplier brands and its own product collections. Earlier this year, its in-house Slide Brassware Collection won an award at the inaugural Clerkenwell Design Week Awards 2026.
