KBSA to rename award in memory of Angela Bower

The Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Specialists Association (KBSA) has paid tribute to its former board member, Angela Bower, who recently passed away, and says it has renamed its Young Designer award in her memory.

Bower served on the KBSA’s board more more than five years, and the organisation said it is “deeply saddened” to announce her passing. Described as a “highly respected and valued member”, Bower made significant contributions to both the association and the wider KBB industry.

Specifically, the KBSA says that Bower was a huge support in the organisation of its annual conference, working closely with the KBSA’s office team and offering guidance and encouragement.

Angela Bower also ran luxury kitchen and interiors studio Bower Willis Designs, alongside her husband Jeremy. Discussing the studio, the KBSA said: “Together they built a business renowned for its creativity, craftsmanship and professionalism, and Angela was widely admired for her passion for design and her generous support of others in the industry”.

She was also a strong advocate for nurturing young talent within the industry. In recognition of this, the KBSA says it will pay tribute to her legacy by renaming its Young Designer award as the “Angela Bower Young Designer of the Year Award”, going forwards.

“Angela will be remembered not only for her professional achievements, but also for her kindness, enthusiasm and the positive impact she had on colleagues, members and peers across the industry,” commented Richard Hibbert, KBSA chair.

“All of us at the KBSA extend our condolences to Jeremy, Angela’s and Jeremy’s families, their friends, and the dogs, Mika and Skylar, as well as all those who had the privilege of working with her. She will be much missed.”
