Neptune launches first new kitchen in a decade

Luxury interiors company Neptune has launched its first new kitchen collection in more than 10 years, kicking off what the business is calling “a defining year” for the British brand.

The new freestanding Borough kitchen is said to be a twist on the traditional kitchen, with the freestanding furniture designed to sit either independently or together, which is said to offer “a more fluid, informal approach to cabinetry”.

Combining Scandinavian and British design values, the collection features a cooking island, sink cabinet and pantry, all of which are elevated on tapered legs.

Neptune says the new Borough kitchen takes inspiration from the first kitchen co-founder John Sims-Hilditch created for his own home. The new style launched online earlier this month, and Neptune says the full collection will be arriving in its stores in the near future.

“We’ve created something distinctly our own, refreshingly different in its freestanding design, modern in form but unmistakenly Neptune,” explained Fred Horlock, Neptune’s design director.

He continued: “We’ve never followed trends; we’ve always built with authenticity and purpose. Borough is the next chapter in our story: evolving with the way people live today, while staying true to the values that set us apart and still always built to last for generations.”

In related news, Neptune co-founder John Sims-Hilditch recently spoke to kbbreview about the company’s “100-year vision” for its future and culture, discussing the need to “put in place principles that will outlast any individual”.
