Beko recruits sales manager for SDA range

Appliance manufacturer Beko has appointed Philip Fletcher as national sales manager for its new small domestic appliance (SDA) division.

The SDA range will launch in the UK from March onwards, which will complement the brand’s major domestic appliance (MDA) range, said Beko.

Fletcher (pictured) previously worked as channel manager for Electrolux and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the new role.

Over the past four years, he has managed a wide customer portfolio, including Amazon, Asda, Argos, Tesco, Wilko and Currys PC World.

He will work with distributor EPE to ensure independent retailers have access to the brand’s new products, which include a bean-to-cup coffee machine, steam irons, breakfast sets, blenders and floorcare.

Donald Shepherd, marketing director at Beko, said: “This is an exciting time for us, and we’re delighted to have Philip on board. His strong background in sales and knowledge of the industry makes him a natural choice for the role. We’re confident he will be a driving force in making this area of the business a success.”

Fletcher added: “It’s fantastic to be working within such a strong team, and with products that will make a real impact on the category. SDA is a crowded market, but there is a real need for affordable, reliable products that make family life easier. Beko has identified a niche and it’s going to be a very exciting year for us.”
