CIH names new CEO

Kyriacou has stepped into the role as of today

Following news last year that CEO Paul Tyler was planning on stepping down, Euronics-owned electrical buying group Combined Independents Holdings (CIH) has announced Harry Kyriacou will be his successor.

Stepping into the role today, CIH’s Board said it was confident that Kyriacou’s leadership and expertise will be instrumental in driving the continued success and growth of the company. His employment will commence on 10th February 2025.

The company added that Kyriacou will bring a wealth of experience to the role, having previously worked as the chief commercial officer at technology company Strix for the past five years. In addition, he has also held prior positions at appliance companies such as GDCA, Whirlpool, and Philips Consumer Electronics.

Announcing his appointment on LinkedIn, Kyriacou commented he was “looking forward to meeting all my new colleagues, members and suppliers and, getting back into the heart of the consumer electronics industry”.

CIH, which is Europe’s largest electrical buying group, also said it wanted to thank former CEO Paul Tyler for his dedication and leadership during his tenure, and added that the company wiches him the best in his future endeavours.

Tyler joined the company as CEO in January of 2022, and since then, CIH says he has worked tirelessly across the last three years to deliver support to the company’s members.
